My Room!

We've moved. It was a nightmare! Seriously. The company that runs the housing here really doesn't know what they are doing. And they messed with the wrong family. Chris is the Mayor here and has direct phone numbers for the Garrison Commander's office... You would think they wouldn't mess with us. Well. They did. We went in at 9am on Friday the 13th to pick up the keys to our new home... and take a tour and sign a new lease. We went to look at the new apartment and it was filthy: dirty floors, sinks, walls unpainted, cigarette ashes on the floor and a huge pile of butts in the backyard, unmowed yard, no landscaping, dirty carpet, broken glass from a light fixture, a door frame ripped off and laying on the stair landing... the works. They really rolled out the red carpet for us! NOT! It was awful and I nearly broke down. I knew this was going to happen. Knew it. Yet it was still a shock. This company literally does not know what it is doing. Well. The woman who showed us in, hurried and left to go call whoever. While she was gone, we called our buddies at the Garrison Commander's office who had just been waiting to catch BBC with their pants down. They sent a lady over with a camera and a notepad to document it. We spent the day in and out of offices trying to work things out and BBC spent the day rushing around our home making it livable. Wow. I knew that it was going to be like this because our other apartment had been in such awful condition when we moved in... but we had dropped lots of hints that we didn't want it to be like that again... I guess they fell on deaf ears! SO. BBC paid for a Uhaul (and we rented the largest one we could find!) and they have made our home perfect. They still have a few things to finish (supposedly the supplies are on order...) but they practically kiss my feet when I walk in there now. Heads are rolling and hopefully they won't treat families like this and try to put us in places that are so utterly filthy any more!!! We're hoping it causes them to make some major changes... We shall see.
Anyways. We're in our new home and I have claimed the fourth bedroom for my "craft room"!!!!! Yay! It's awesome. We put our hide-a-bed couch in there so it can double as a guest room and I still need Chris to bring up my table... but it's mine and I am so excited! Now I just need to finish this semester so I can enjoy the summer- crafting every day!!! Come join me!!

My second favorite room... the pantry! Love the shelving!
